Kenzie At Her Finest

It's that time of year again. STAGE MAKEUP TIME!!!!! And for Kenzie, that means sideburn time (and it doesn't get better than that).

I was looking forward to putting sideburns AND a moustache on her, but alas, the other kids in my class took all the good facial hair. So Kenzie got stuck with salt-and-pepper, Mr. Brower sideburns. Voila!

If anyone needs facial hair...I got you. 

P.S. You all better plan now to come to The Holiday at BYU at the end of November/beginning of December, because I'm going to be assisting on the makeup!

Catwoman

 No words can describe how I felt about The Dark Knight Rises. So I'm not even going to go there. 

But OBVIOUSLY I dressed up and took advantage of Kenzie's mad hair skills and had her do my hair in an elegant bun (called a "chestnut bun" according to my little sister). My makeup was a bit underwhelming as I just threw on some red lipstick, but hey, Catwoman keeps it simple.

Oh and a quick shout out to Casey who let us do her hair and makeup yesterday for her wedding (and who also let us use her dressing room to do my hair during her reception...what a nice bride!). Congratulations!

Kitty Purry

If you haven't seen Katy Perry's movie yet and you want to watch an inspiring biography with lots of eye and ear candy, GO WATCH IT.

Naturally, I tried to pay homage to Katy through some girl's makeup. Unfortunately my phone's camera blows and so you can't see how sparkly the eyeshadow was. Alas. But uhhh... I haven't been doing much makeup lately.

Lady G

My little sister is AWESOME and is also my favorite canvas. Over the years, she's been made up with countless beards and bleeding wounds. For Halloween a couple years ago, she wanted to be Lady Gaga and luckily, her personal makeup artist was willing to do it.

The Dark Mark

So I'm consumed by Harry Potter. The day HP 7.2 came out, I had to work, but naturally could not keep my mind on doing normal makeup for customers. Then my coworker/friend, Anne, told me that she decided to dress up as Bellatrix for the premiere, so I attempted my first Dark Mark on her (using eyeliner and shadow from Bare Minerals). I daresay I did rather well!
